Ungovernable Frontier, Part 3: Pushing Up and Past the Mississippi River

This is the final preface to a literal journey (by vehicle) I will attempt along the Lewis and Clark route for the Corps of Discovery, authorized by Thomas Jefferson in 1804.  The US Park Service provides a comprehensive map itinerary that can be useful for exploring this route and the western United States.   Future video/blogs will mark this pioneer encounter and other explorations of the West, over months and perhaps years.
